Baseball Season!

The kids have had a blast so far for their first season of baseball. They just got their uniforms and attended opening ceremonies last weekend. Mommy Chela even got to come up and see Bijou's first game. Daddy co-coaches Jack's team with Uncle Brian and sometime umpires for the games! Everyone has had a super time!

mama's beach birthday

This year, for my birthday, we spend the day as Oswald West beach! After a warm hike through old growth we emerged on a winter cold cove. Being that it was Jimmy's first beach trip, we were all excited to watch him run around smelling and tasting everything! After a good half hour it started to sleet/snow!?!

Jimmy Dean Bean

Jack-l-doo finally got his wiener dog! haha! We had been scoping out the humane society for the last couple of months looking to rescue a dog and we end up finding one at Trader Joes! Jack spotted a puppy clear across the store while we were shopping and was frantic to meet it.... he tugged on my sleeve the whole time and was worried the pup had gone. When we were done the man and pup were sitting out front! When I took Jack out to pet him the man said the 12 week old wiener dog was looking for a home and his name is Jimmy! He ploped him in Jack's arms and I knew we were in trouble! I would like to think that Jimmy is kind of like a rescue? haha but am happy he came to us just the same.
The kids opted to keep his name Jimmy while Tim and I debated a middle name... Tim is in favor of Dean... like the sausage! haha! Some how bean went on there too??
The kids have been incredible with Jimmy, caring for him and taking on more responibilitys. We had our first puppy training class with Jimmy on Sunday and had a great time as a family learning the basics. Jimmy is a super pup and is a wonderful new addition to the family..... Daisy is still on the fence.

Winter Organics!

I have been super excited with our organics to you bins lately! I just figured winter time would be cabbage and kale and more cabbage! But we have been surprised every week with extra treats! This week it was gorgeous kiwi fruit and one was in the shape of a heart! LOVE it!

Friend time!

We had a reunion with our best friends, the Rasmussen's! Tay, Julie, Nigel, and Elize had been living in England for the last 4 years so this was a long wait! Uncle Chris came down from Seattle, Auntie Robin came out from Oregon City, and Aunt Kath joined too! Bijou quickly got back into the groove with lezzey and the girls got to hot tub and jump on the trampoline all night! Jack made best friends with their rescued Jack Russel, Max.... and Nigel was a champ taking tons of pics of the adult shenanigans! We feel blessed to have such an amazing group of friends in our life. Were definately going to make a trip down to explore their new home in NM! Good Times!

Oddwater!

Oddwater is this fantastic exhibit at the Oregon Coast Aquarium. We stopped by on our way home from the beach. There were so many incredible critters that we had never seen before. My favorite were the cow fish and sea horses. Jack loved the eels! Bijou got to pet mana ray and baby sharks! It was so cool!

Winter Coast Sun!

We spent 3 nights in Waldport at our friend Karen's beach house! It was the most glorious January weather I have ever seen! Clear blue sky, bright warm sun, and endless beach. I actually spent an entire afternoon on a lounge chair on the deck in a tank top reading. The kids got to fly a kite every day. In addition to getting to visit with Karen and Thea, we got to spend time with Hank, Brian and baby Maude, whom Bijou held the entire time.... babysitter in training!
