We had a fun time visiting our pals Lisa and River! Baby Lincoln is almost here! Were going back in July to meet him... and we cant wait! We ate a ton of our favorite Ashland food, spent a day at Lithia Park, visited Tim's family in Medford, and went to the Enchanted Forest. We took this impromptu pic of Bij in front of my mom's fav cafe in this garden... so lilac.

Trip to Ashland
We had a fun time visiting our pals Lisa and River! Baby Lincoln is almost here! Were going back in July to meet him... and we cant wait! We ate a ton of our favorite Ashland food, spent a day at Lithia Park, visited Tim's family in Medford, and went to the Enchanted Forest. We took this impromptu pic of Bij in front of my mom's fav cafe in this garden... so lilac.
Yurt Camping
We were so excited to get to yurt camp this early in the season. The summer is booked all the way out through September so we got lucky. Cape look out is our favorite state park to camp. It backs in to old growth, has gorgeous beaches, and some of the best hikes ever. We discovered an off shoot to the cape hike and found ourselves in on a grassy cliff covered in wild flowers and some 700 feet above the ocean and coast line. Ahhh I love Oregon! The kids enjoyed all the best camp treats. We made a bunk bed fort, smores, and dealt with a naughty raccoon!
Garden Time!
Tim was the super dad and built us a new raised garden bed. It was really fun shopping with Jackson for starters. We treated ourselves to Portland Nursery and found some delish heirloom tomatoes, beans, pumpkin, watermelon, squash, zucchini, cucumber, peppers, and lettuce.
We also got ginger mint, chocolate mint, and basil. I can't wait to stick some in some tea or make a summer mohjito!
We all had a great time getting dirty and discovering new bugs. Now we are battling baby slugs away from our lettuce. Apparently beer does the trick?? I'm waiting for the soggy weather to end so I can give it a try.
Multnomah County Fair
The first fair of the season! I didn't even know that we had a Multnomah County fair! It was teeny and backed up to Oaks Park but there were all the essentials of a good fair. Weener dog competition, animals, baby animals, oh and more animals. The kids got to pick two rides each and a quick snack and other then that it was free! The biggest treat was a close encounter with a baby Siberian Tiger! We got to watch her bottle feed too! It was amazing. My personal fav was the new spring goats, baby horns and all! So feisty and cute.

Dino Zoo Day
They had those crazy animitronic life sized dinos at the zoo. They placed them in a woodsy cool area to give you an idea of how they lived and nested with their meat eating babies. We had a great time running around and listening to their loud chirps and roars. Jack who had a ruff time at the OMSI dino exhibit was a brave boy agreeing to see the zoo dinos but mostly being terrified of them. aaawwe Bij and I tried to do stunts like putting our hands in their mouths and hugging them but he was untrusting and cautious. I am proud when they give it a go but follow their guts! Which is perfect because had they been real we would have been quick little snack dogs for them!
Daisy is on the mend!
Daisy got herself caught in the kids toy chest...one of her fav places to snooze. She hopped out and snagged her foot under the lid dislocating it. After days of adjustment and surgery she is successfully healed and almost ready to get her cast off. She was a our typical girl throwing tantrums and attacking her cast at every opportunity.
Jackson's 4!!!
